Coaching the Alderwood Way

Coaching the Alderwood Way is a manual created, and annually reviewed, by our Coaches Committee.

This manual outlines the learning objectives for players as they progress from T-ball to Major level play in our program. It is designed in a "building block" method such that each level of play progresses the fundamental skills learned in the prior level(s).

Sample drills for each skill expectation are provided. Our Coaches Clinic, held annually in early March, provide the opportunity for managers and coaches to learn these drills. Many more drills can be found at the links listed below.

Parents interested in assisting their team manager at practice or working with their player at home will also find Coaching the Alderwood Way a valuable tool.

You & Your Team Parent

Alderwood Little League is a volunteer organization. Every event and activity of the league, including all the tasks of our board, our field crew, and our umpires, is time donated to our program by individuals. Managers and Team Parents should work together in encouraging every family to become involved in the volunteer efforts. If we all work together, we can accomplish great things for our players and our community.
