Coaching the Alderwood Way

Coaching the Alderwood Way is a manual created and annually reviewed by our Coaches Committee.

This manual outlines the learning objectives for players as they progress from T-Ball to Major level play in our program. It is designed in a "building block" method so that each level of play builds on the fundamental skills learned in prior levels.

Sample drills for each skill expectation are provided. Our Coaches Clinic, held annually in early March, provides the opportunity for managers and coaches to learn these drills. Many more drills can be found at the links listed below.

Parents interested in assisting their team manager at practice or working with their player at home will also find Coaching the Alderwood Way a valuable tool.

You & Your Team Parent

Alderwood Little League is a completely volunteer-run organization. Every event and activity, including the work of our board, field crew, and umpires, is made possible through the time and effort donated by individuals. Managers and Team Parents are encouraged to work together to involve every family in supporting our volunteer efforts. When we all contribute, we can achieve great things for our players and our community.
